We know that catfish is very easily cultivated because of some reasons, such as, it can be developed well without spending a lot of capital, living in water that is less clean so that it cannot be died easily. Not all catfish is omnivorous so it’s not difficult to feed it. Judging from this opportunity we thought of an idea how the cultivation could be made into a great business opportunity. Therefore we make catfish cultivation in SMAFOUR. SMAFOUR is a high school which have good aim in developing its students ability in developing entrepreneurship to be creative and innovative students. Thus, the students have high ability and skill in developing their entrepreneurship in the future. To achieve it, the school asks all groups of students to make a business product that will be sold outside and inside the school. The profit students get will be saved to fund many school activities, such as field trip and goes to campuss activities. Catfish cultivation is an activity where students learn how to raise and sell catfish. Catfish is relatively easy to breed in warm waters. Catfish can be cultivated in ponds, tanks or small streams. From this catfish cultivation we learn to get many benefits by processing the harvest to be a delicious snack that is called catfish sticks that we sell at school or in public places. Picture 1. Catfish ponds in SMAFOUR We started this catfish cultivation using school funding 1 million rupiah. Then the school management gave us responsibility in managing the money. With that money we made catfish ponds as a place of cultivation which would be filled by our catfish seeds. For the first time we bought 300 catfish seeds which would then be cultivated for approximately 2 months to get healthy and quality catfish. So that we would get good quality catfish to be sold by feeding it 2 times a day, morning and evening. We also paid attention to the health of existing catfish ponds by cleaning catfish ponds for at least twice a week.
